Guess who's back...

Coat: Zara
Jumper: Forever 21
Jeans: Hollister
Cowboy boots: Topshop (similar here)
Beanie: Urban Outfitters (similar here)
Bag: Prada

It's been a long time since I came around, it's been a long time but I'm back in town.

I wish I could blame my hiatus on internet firewalls in China. Sadly my trip to see the American Boy finished a good few months ago so that excuse isn't going to run.

However, I'm back and ready to dust the cobwebs off Not So Basic.

The American Boy and I escaped rural Jinjiang and headed to a freezing Shanghai for Chinese New Year. We had the most fantastic time in a beautiful city and I maaaaay have reworked the lyrics to Rihanna's Diamonds along the lines of 'we're beautiful like tourists in Shanghai...'

Lyrical genius? Who, me?!

Also, check out Shanghai skyline...not a bad way to see in Chinese New Year...

    3. Gabriella you are down-to-earth and dignified - I can only imagine your legal brain laughing at these attempts at being clever. Keep it up, and you look lovely in this post x

    5. The '#1 fan' thing in brackets is clearly Rose's lapdog, Phoebe as she posted a similar comment on your Instagram photo also. I'm glad you're not friends with such vacuous beings anymore, Gabby.

ANYWAY, glad that you're blogging again, hope to see some new-law-job related posts! (Don't leave it too long this time!)

    6. Don't worry, Anon, the #1 thing was duly noted, but I'm glad you (and probably others) picked up on it too...

And do not fear, I will be blogging some work related outfits sooner or later!

    8. Go away Anon 1 (*ahem* PHOEBE). You look like constipated garden gnome, and have a personality to match. Plus, you are dumb as dirt. Learn to write, you vapid sidekick.

    9. Thanks Kate. Everyone's kind words are lovely.

I'll try and make sure the next blog post arrives sightly sooner than the last one. I didn't realise my new job would make fitting in blogging so hard!

If it is you Phoebe, please go back to primary school and learn to write properly.

    12. Did anyone consider that it might just be the losers that populate internet forums that are writing these comments in order to get sort of kick out of the arguments (see below)??
Of course by rising to it you are only encouraging it....

  14. I absolutely adore your coat, I might have to keep an eye out on eBay for it! Also nice to hear you enjoyed China, my brother went there as part of a 6 months world travelling thing and he for some reason didn't like it so its good to hear another opinion on it as I've always wanted to go!

  18. I agree, nice to see you back on the blog! it is really none of my business but can I ask why rose and u have fallen out? is it because she thinks u copied her bag?
whatever the reason is do not worry and just put her meanness down to jealousy. She probably wishes she would have a proper degree or be a lawyer. Keep it up gaby x
